Senior Claim Representative - Connecticut

In this role, you will conduct detailed coverage investigations on complex coverage issues and research policy provisions regarding the claim to identify applicable coverage. You will conduct telephone investigations when needed, contacting the insured, claimant, witnesses and others where appropriate. When necessary you will secure recorded statements to preserve the interviews. You will deal with plaintiff counsel to investigate, negotiate and settle claims as appropriate. Directs defense counsel and manages litigation so claims are handled efficiently and effectively.

To qualify a BS/BA college degree is preferred or equivalent business experience supported by 3-7 years experience as a Bodily Injury Claim Representative or its equivalent. You must hold an insurance adjuster license as required by the applicable state law.

Claim Representative II – Washington

We are currently seeking a Claim Representative II for our Bellevue, WA Branch Claim office. In this role you will be accountable for effectively investigating and disposing of a variety of auto claims—such as third party liability, uninsured motorist bodily injury, and first and third party damage. You will research policy provisions to identify coverage, gather claims information, conduct telephone investigations (with insureds, claimants, and witnesses), carefully document all investigational and clams handling activities to preserve evidence, and liaison with plaintiff's counsel to negotiate and settle claims.

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, supported by three to five years of experience as a Claims Representative/Adjuster handling liability matters. You should be familiar with Unfair Claims Practices Acts and other current legal/regulatory trends, and possess solid communication, writing, interpersonal and computer skills. Direct experience in bodily injury claims, knowledge of medical terminology and an Insurance Adjuster License are all desired.

Claim Supervisor – Connecticut

In this position, you will be responsible for effectively managing and leading a unit of five to nine employees. You will assign claims and monitor performance of claims handling in accordance with established guidelines. In this role you will also review and approve all case reserves and payments above claim representative's authority; coach and provide daily direction and training to assigned staff as needed; conduct audits and maintains other monitoring controls to measure service, quality, productivity, regulatory compliance, loss costs containment and expense management; prepare and administers performance evaluations and makes salary recommendations; manage performance improvement plans as needed; assist in the resolution of customer complaints and takes corrective action if required; keep up-to-date on regulatory and compliance issues and participate in planning and special ad hoc projects when required.

To qualify, you must have 5-10 years experience working in the Property and Casualty personal lines automobile insurance field. A BS/BA college degree is preferred or equivalent experience. Three years experience supervising personal lines auto PD & BI claims and managing litigation and experience handling and/or supervising claims in multi-jurisdictional states (CT, FL, and NY preferred) are also required along with a Connecticut insurance adjuster license.

Customer Service Representative II – Washington

Your organizational, listening and problem-solving skills are needed now to ensure the efficient end-to-end handling of customer claims. As our representative, you will take initial information on First Notice of Loss, explain the claims handling process to claimants, and log information into the system. In addition, you will be responsible for setting up claim files, responding to inquiries on claim status and providing general support such as phones, faxing, scanning and assisting with outgoing correspondence.

To qualify, you must have strong keyboard and computer skills, a good customer rapport, and a High School Diploma or GED. A college education and previous experience in personal lines insurance are desired.
