– July 28, 2005 | According to the most recent study by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Arizona drivers pay the 12th highest expenditure for auto insurance in the nation. But an innovative new program to benefit safe drivers was introduced in July by the Response Insurance Group that can provide a real choice and save Arizona drivers money.
“One of the problems for drivers is that many insurance companies aren't rewarding people enough for being safe drivers. Companies often lump drivers together and in many cases charge the same rate to both good and the not-so-good drivers," said Mory Katz, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the Response Insurance Group of companies. "That’s why we created a rate structure that much more closely reflects a person’s driving record and their own situation. Arizona is a great state for us to introduce this in – we’re very excited about it.”
Nationally, drivers with Response save on average nearly 20%*. How much difference can Response Insurance’s new program make to residents in Yavapai County, for instance? A 47-year-old Paulden couple with good driving records would pay Allstate $1,334 annually to insure a 2004 Ford Taurus LX; they'd pay State Farm $1,471; and they'd pay Response just $1,049**.
“We’re also offering additional savings to Arizona drivers who are teachers through our Teachers’ Insurance Plan™,” said Steve Oakley, Vice President of Marketing for the Response Insurance Group. “Our research has shown that teachers present a lower risk to insurance companies.” Teachers’ Insurance Plan™, which is also underwritten by members of the Response Insurance Group, is passing on those savings to teachers.
More information and free on-line rate quotes can be obtained at www.response.com and www.teachers.com. In Arizona Warner Insurance Company underwrites Response, and Response Insurance Company underwrites Teachers’ Insurance Plan. Both are members of the Response Insurance Group of companies.
