Meriden CT – January 14, 2008 |  The Response Insurance Group was named a “Best Performer” by the New York State Department of Insurance in its just released ranking of auto insurers. This is the fifth consecutive year that Response has been in the “Top 25” on the Department’s annual list.

The Response Insurance Group of Companies, which includes the Teachers’ Insurance Plan™, was ranked number 16 and beat out GEICO, Allstate, State Farm, Progressive, St. Paul Travelers, Liberty Mutual, AIG, Nationwide, and White Mountains, in both the number of complaints and the ratio of complaints to company size, based on the amount of premium in the state.

The New York State Insurance Department Annual Ranking of Automobile Insurance Complaints was based on recently compiled 2005-2006 data. The analysis ranks 44 insurance groups, which represent nearly 200 individual insurance companies doing business in New York.
